Azroz Bin MohdSenior Lecturer / Webmaster & Coordinator (Corporate)
Azroz Mohd is an Arts and Culture Strategist who is currently full time lecturer for the Film, Theatre and Animation (FiTA) program, in the Creative Industry Management Department at the Universiti Teknologi MARA; the largest University in Malaysia. He also spearheads multimedia for FiTA and is in charge of the faculty’s website (fita.uitm.edu.my). In addition to Azroz’s positions at FiTA he also a consultant for few production company, which is focused on event planning. “Make the impossible possible” has always been his motto when designing an event. The ability to transform what his clients envision into an experience beyond what they imagined is very fulfilling and and a passion.His work covers both domestic and international, to name a few such as the World Islamic Economic Forums, Marketplace of Creative Arts in Bandung, Indonesia, Putrajaya Night Marathon, BSN first online concert and many more. He was also working with David Monn, who is one of the leading event planner in New York and assisted in many major event such as MET GALA, Armory Gala, and many privates events for not-for-profit organizations.
Azroz holds a BA degree from (Hons) Creative Artistic Technology (Creative Industry Management), UiTM, Dip. in Performing Arts (Acting), UiTM, After working in the feud looked to expand his leadership and strategy skill sets and travels to the US for two years to live (fully sponsored by the Ministry if Higher Education of Malaysia) and attend the graduate Arts and Cultural Management Program at Pratt. The experiences and particularly the program’s core values in cultivating creative ventures are something he often draws upon. The three C’s (culture, community, and commerce) are foundational and during the program he learned how to develop and build these into his own work and Arts and Culture fields.
